In our society we are so wired to think in an individual way, that somehow our life is not intertwined into the lives of others. We are taught that we can make our own decisions and do what we need to do to be successful and happy.

My Person and I have very different ideas about freedom. I am a big believer in freedom. The best feeling in the whole world is to run free without a leash, to choose where you will go and what you will explore, to run full tilt or saunter and sniff as you please.
Out with Atonement; In with Accountability

When you hear the word “atonement,” what comes to mind? Do you see images of the forlorn, with their heads bowed in shame? Do you think of penance, punishments, and retribution? Do you hear voices begging for forgiveness, dependent on the mercy of God to grant an absolution?
